Plain English summary: Your case is yours. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with marketers. We work under an aggregated secure technology model that gathers data for your cases. Your data — your chat — is archived and never viewed by another human.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

  • Account data: email address (required to deliver the service), display name (optional).
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
  • Case data: the conversations and documents you create with Chris.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (standard analytics).

3. How we use your data

  • To deliver the document-drafting service you have paid for.
  • To process payments and provide receipts.
  • To improve the service (anonymous, aggregated patterns only).
  • To respond to your support enquiries at hello@elitigant.com.

4. Your case data — how it is protected

We work under an aggregated secure technology model that gathers data for your cases. Your data — your chat — is archived and never viewed by another human at eLitigant unless you explicitly contact support and ask us to look at a specific conversation to help resolve a problem.

Your case data is not used to train any third-party model. It is not shared with marketers. It is not sold.

5. Your rights under UK GDPR

  • Access: request a copy of your data — email hello@elitigant.com.
  • Correction: ask us to correct any inaccurate personal data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your account and case data.
  • Portability: ask us to export your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Complaint: you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) at any time.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. You can opt out via your browser settings or via tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. How long we keep your data

Active account data: while your account is active. Case data: archived for 7 years (in case you return to a matter), then deleted. Payment records: 7 years (HMRC requirement). Support emails: 2 years.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). Our infrastructure runs on enterprise-grade cloud providers with industry-standard security controls.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. payment processing, hosting) operate internationally. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK-approved adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers.
