Terms of Service

The agreement between you and eLitigant CIC.

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Plain English summary: We help you draft professional documents. We do not give Legal Advice. You stay the litigant. 7-day money-back guarantee. Be honest with Chris — Chris is only as good as the data you give him.

1. Who we are

eLitigant CIC (“eLitigant”, “we”, “us”) is a UK Community Interest Company (No. 16566612) registered at The Ingenuity Lab, C16 The Ingenuity Centre, Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham, Nottingham NG7 2TU. Contact: hello@elitigant.com.

2. What we provide

eLitigant is a self-representation management platform. Chris drafts professional documents, letters, applications, contracts and correspondence based on the facts you provide. You retain full responsibility for reviewing, signing, filing and using all output.

We do not give Legal Advice. We are not a law firm. We are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board. We provide document drafting and business strategy advice — neither of which is regulated legal practice under the Legal Services Act 2007.

3. Pricing

  • Express Document (Day): £49 — a full day’s access to Chris for one matter, with unlimited drafts and one case folder, professional output.

All prices are in GBP, one-off. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Access starts when you send your first message — not at the moment of payment. Your case content stays live in your case suite for 30 days after your last use. After that it is archived securely, and any new pass restores it. Twelve months after your last sign-in we permanently delete archived cases and their account data. About a month before that deadline we will email you a final notice, with the option to renew your case suite and keep your case for another year — we know some cases run on for years. Once that final deletion runs, restoration is impossible. Payment records are kept for 6 years as the law requires. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

4. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If Chris does not deliver professional drafts to the standard you expected, email hello@elitigant.com within 7 days of your payment for a full refund. No forms, no friction. The 7 days runs from the date and time you paid — time spent using the free service before you paid does not count against it. The guarantee covers product quality — not changed circumstances on your side after using the service. Nothing in this guarantee affects your statutory rights.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide truthful, complete information about your case. Chris is only as good as the data you give him.
  • Review every document Chris drafts before you sign or file it.
  • Verify any case law, statute or procedural reference Chris cites against current authoritative sources.
  • Make your own decisions about how to proceed in your matter.
  • Comply with the Civil Procedure Rules, the rules of any tribunal, and your duties to the court.

6. What we do NOT do

  • We do not give Legal Advice.
  • We do not appear in court on your behalf.
  • We do not file documents on your behalf.
  • We do not represent you in any forum.
  • We do not guarantee any case outcome — courts and tribunals decide on the merits.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Chris to draft fraudulent, misleading or vexatious documents. You may not use the service to harass, defame or breach the rights of any other person. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms with no refund.

8. Intellectual property

You own the documents Chris drafts for you. The platform, prompts, tooling and underlying methodology remain the intellectual property of eLitigant CIC.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, eLitigant CIC’s liability for any matter arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for case outcomes, missed deadlines, or losses arising from how you use the documents Chris drafts. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: your case is yours, never sold, never shared with marketers, archived and never viewed by another human at eLitigant unless you ask us to look.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Contact

For any question about these terms: hello@elitigant.com.

Cancellation, Cooling-Off and Refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel a contract for services. eLitigant provides digital services made available immediately on purchase. By purchasing and accessing the service you expressly request that we begin providing it immediately, and you acknowledge that you therefore lose the 14-day cancellation right once the service has been fully performed. Where the service has not been accessed, you may cancel within 14 days for a refund. Refund requests can be made by contacting us and will be handled fairly and in line with your statutory rights, which these terms do not affect.

Service Scope and Legal Disclaimer

eLitigant CIC is not a law firm and is not a firm of solicitors. We do not provide legal advice and we do not undertake reserved legal activities under the Legal Services Act 2007 (including rights of audience or the conduct of litigation). We provide document-drafting tools, information and guidance to help you prepare your own documents. You remain the litigant in person and are responsible for your own case and decisions. Nothing produced by the service constitutes legal advice or creates a solicitor–client relationship, and we make no guarantee as to the outcome of any matter. For legal advice, consult a qualified, regulated professional.
