The right place to file, by matter
Once Chris has drafted your document, the last step is yours: filing it with the right court or service. Here is where each goes (eLitigant is not a law firm; this is information, not advice).
- County Court money claims — Money Claim Online (OCMC), the web service that replaced the paper N1 for most specified claims. See the OCMC guide.
- Business & Property Courts / High Court (Chancery, Commercial, Insolvency & Companies List) — CE-File. See the CE-File guide.
- Divorce / dissolution — the online divorce service (apply, upload the certificate, pay the fee).
- Probate — the online probate service / MyHMCTS (or paper PA1P/PA1A where needed).
- Employment Tribunal — the ET online service for the ET1 claim and ET3 response.
- Other tribunals (SEND, Property, Tax, Social Security) — each has its own online appeal/e-filing route or postal address; check the tribunal’s page.
- Family applications, possession, enforcement and most other forms — usually filed at the named court (by post or in person), or via the relevant online service where one exists.
